VIDEO SURVEILLANCE IN GENERAL

 

Coral Croatia d.o.o., Ulica Pere Budmanija 5, 10000 Zagreb, OIB:72594208197, uses video surveillance systems at its gas stations, with the aim of protecting facilities and other associated property owned by Coral Croatia d.o.o., as well as for the purpose of protecting persons: employees, other staff, suppliers, business partners, customers and visitors, as well as all other persons who come to the station, visit and use the services of Coral Croatia d.o.o. gas stations.

 

Coral Croatia d.o.o. may use video surveillance recordings for the purpose of reconstructing and investigating security incidents, identify Safety Irregularities, possible dangers or unauthorized access to protected areas, as well as detecting criminal offenses.

 

Coral Croatia d.o.o. is the Data controller regarding video surveillance and in that sense it collects i.e. processes personal data by creating recordings that make the storage system, and video surveillance refers to both the work process and the behavior of persons who enter the camera's perimeter and the documentation of events at Coral Croatia d.o.o. gas stations.

 

Video surveillance refers to the collection and further processing of personal data, which includes the creation of a recording that constitutes or is intended to form part of a storage system.

 

PURPOSE

 

The processing of personal data by video surveillance is based on the applicable regulations (REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter: General Data Protection Regulation), the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation and the regulations on the protection of assets) and the legitimate interest of Coral Croatia d.o.o. for the purpose of controlling entry and exit from the locations of Coral Croatia d.o.o.,  reducing the exposure of persons to the risk of robbery, burglary, violence, theft, irregularities in work and similar events.

 

These purposes apply to every camera in use at Coral Croatia gas stations.

 

Video surveillance may include premises, parts of premises, the external surface of the facility owned or leased by the Controller.

Video surveillance of employee work premises does not include rooms used for rest, personal hygiene and changing rooms.

 

 

 

At the entrance to the recording perimeter, there is a special notice which, in addition to the symbol or image of the video surveillance camera, also contains information about the Controller and contact information through which the Data Subject can exercise their rights.

 

Video surveillance is carried out continuously, and videos are processed on the basis of legitimate interest for the purposes previously stated in this Policy and in order to comply with the legal obligations of Coral Croatia d.o.o. as the Controller. Recordings obtained through video surveillance are usually kept for 15 (fifteen) days, unless a law prescribes a longer retention period or if they are evidence in judicial, administrative, arbitration or other equivalent proceedings. Access to personal data processed by video surveillance may be provided to public authorities upon approval of a written request from a law enforcement authority.

The sign that the area is under video surveillance is placed at the latest when entering the perimeter of the recording. All persons entering the perimeter or facility/room that is under video surveillance are considered informed about the processing of personal data by video surveillance by Coral Croatia d.o.o.

 

DATA PROTECTION AND RIGHT OF ACCESS

 

All video recordings are the property of Coral Croatia d.o.o. and represent business secret.

 

The right of access to video surveillance recordings is granted exclusively to the responsible persons of the Controller or the Processor and/or a person authorised by the Controller.

 

Video surveillance footage is not transferred to third countries or international organisations.

 

Coral Croatia d.o.o. will not deliver or make available the videos to unauthorized persons in any way and in any form.

 

RIGHT TO INFORMATION AND ACCESS TO RECORDINGS

 

Government administration bodies, courts and/or other competent authorities may be provided with video surveillance camera recordings for the purpose of performing tasks within their jurisdiction. Data subjects have the right to information about the processing of their personal data by video surveillance, and upon a written request, it is possible to find, inspect and provide a copy of individual recordings, with a note that for technical reasons it is possible for certain recordings to be deleted after the expiration of the period of 15 (fifteen) days from the date of the recording, which is the longest time the video is kept, or even longer in the case of judicial, administrative, arbitration or other equivalent proceedings.

 

PROCEDURE IN CASE OF ABUSE

 

In the event of a possible breach of personal data, the competent responsible person or the competent Data protection Officer at Coral Croatia d.o.o. shall, without undue delay, act in accordance with the applicable regulations, maximally respecting the right to privacy of the data subject.
